Churches and volunteers are the support system of IHNYC. Churches provide meals and sleeping rooms for the families each night. About 50 volunteers are involved with hosting the guest families each week, including active youth. Opportunities for volunteers include cooking and serving evening meals, providing friendship, supervising evening activities for children, or staying overnight at the church.
